Russian Style Chicken Dish

Mexico, Russia.

Ingredients

1 whole chicken cut into bite-sized pieces

1 whole lemon (juice and zest)

1 stalk of fresh thyme

4 garlic cloves finely chopped

1 teaspoon chili flakes

3 tablespoons of cooking oil

3 tablespoons of butter

1 oz. soy sauce

1 pinch of ground pepper

1 pinch of salt

Procedure:

Clean the chicken, de-bone and cut into bite-sized pieces.

Squeeze the juice from the lemon into a large bowl. Add the zest, mix with the thyme, chili, garlic, butter, soy sauce. Stir the ingredients together and add the chicken. Then season with the salt and pepper.

Cover the bowl and refrigerate, allowing the chicken to marinate for two or more hours.

Heat the oil in a pan, then fry the chicken for about 15 minutes, turning regularly to ensure each side is golden.

Best served with potato salad.
