Berenice's Favorite Kale and Orzo Dish

Ingredients:

1 cup of Orzo pasta

1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

1 bunch of Kale leaves ( stems removed)

3 garlic cloves

Juice of 1 lemon

3 tablespoons of olive oil

½ teaspoon of turmeric

½ teaspoon of nutmeg

Salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:

Bring a pot of lightly salted water to boil. Sprinkle turmeric over the

boiling water and add the Orzo to cook until the pasta has cook

through but is still firm to the bite. Set aside into a bowl. Heat the olive

oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the garlic into the oil for a

few seconds add the Kale into the garlic, cover the skillet with a lid and

cook for 5 minutes. Add the Kale mixture into the Orzo and stir it.

Sprinkle parmesan cheese, nutmeg and add the lemon juice.

Season with salt and pepper. Eat warm or room temperature.
